Click the cat icon in the menu bar and choose My cats. The dashboard includes Cats, Care and Settings. Your cat appears along the bottom of the screen. Double-click to pet it, or drag to pick it up.
Open Care and choose Feed, a toy, a litter box or a scratcher. Move the pointer to your desktop and click to place it. Press Escape while the app is focused to cancel placement.
In the App Store edition, open My cats → Settings and turn on Fetch reminders. Allow Reminders access when asked. Then create a new, incomplete reminder with a due time in the next ten minutes. Keep the app running; it checks about every 30 seconds and your cat carries the reminder title across the screen.
Reminders already due when you enable the feature are skipped to avoid a flood of old reminders. If you previously denied access, you can enable it in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Reminders. Reminder access is optional; caring for your cat does not require it.
Open My cats → Settings, choose English, Korean or Japanese, then quit and reopen the app to apply the change everywhere.
Cat names and care state are stored on your device. The app processes reminder titles and due dates locally. Read the privacy policy for details about each distribution.
